South Park: The Stick of Truth will miss its March 7th release date in Germany and Austria.
Videogamer reports that numerous users on Steam and NeoGaf have received messages from Ubisoft apologising for the delay.
"The German and Austrian version of South Park: The Stick of Truth contains an unconstitutional symbol which means that we are unfortunately not able to release the game on the German and Austrian market at this time," it says.
"This concerns all versions/platforms of the game. There is no need to amend or cancel your pre-order. A new release date of South Park: The Stick of Truth for the German and Austrian market will be announced shortly, and we will ensure that your order is delivered to coincide with this new date.”
The game’s Steam listing in the territories has had its release date altered to simply ‘March 2014’.
It had previously been confirmed that Obsidian was removing the many Swastikas that appear in the uncut game for these markets, where their use is illegal – it’s very possible that one or more were missed.
The Stick of Truth will arrive in all other European markets this Friday.
