Get Games grows

Games portal Get Games has expanded with three new publishers on board, a number of new appointments and a redesigned site.

Codemasters, Ubisoft and 2K Games have all signed deals with the digital download service which will see their popular titles added to Get Games’ site.

These include Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry, 2K’s BioShock and titles from the Civilization series, as well as Codies’ Colin McRae Rally and Overlord games.

Get Games – a joint venture between Eurogamer and Mastertronic which went live last November – has also appointed Cat Channon as project manager, while Andy Wingrave joins as marketing and community manager.

The website was given a fresh makeover this week, and Get Games says more big-name publishers are due to sign deals over the coming months.

Cat Channon told MCV: We are now focusing on gaining more top quality content for gamers as each of the big publishers signs up.

Get Games plans to focus on independent content and is looking forward to being a platform for indie developers of all shapes and sizes to get their games to market.

With this in mind, we’re sponsoring the Indie Games Arcade at the Eurogamer Expo this year.”
