Two years on from his return to the games industry as the head of Microsoft’s casual games movement, David Gosen is leaving the Xbox platform holder, MCV can reveal.
Gosen, whose former roles include Nintendo Europe MD and I-Play CEO, is to leave his position as VP of strategic marketing within Microsoft’s interactive entertainment business in Europe “to explore new opportunities outside of the company”.
“The Xbox marketing team and Live business in EMEA has made great progress over the last two years, during a phase of consistent investment and innovation,” Microsoft’s VP of interactive entertainment EMEA Chris Lewis stated.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank David for his contribution as a key player in my leadership team. Looking forward this team will continue to drive Xbox 360 to its biggest ever year overseeing the launches of Project Natal, Halo Reach and Fable 3.”
Microsoft’s marketing and Live managements teams will now report directly to Chris Lewis.
