Grainger expands head office team

Grainger Games has announced two key appointments as it once again grows its store count.

The independent chain opened a new store this week in Stockport. It now has a total of 35 outlets spread across the North of England.

Coinciding with this milestone is a new addition to the head office team. Grainger Games has brought in Tracy Fowler as its newly appointed finance director.

Fowler leaves her most recent position as business development manager for leisure at Asda. She has also previously worked in the games industry, having served as head of finance at Gamestation for almost five years.

Tracy brings solid financial experience and will help drive our expansion strategy forward as well as developing our internal processes – we can’t wait for her to get going,” Grainger’s owner and MD Stephen Bowyer said.

The independent UK retailer has also promoted Lee Taylor as its third area manager to account for the increased number of stores.

Sales director Phil Moore said: Lee has been with us for just over a year and joined as senior store manager for our Peterlee store.

I am really pleased that our expansion plans deliver a strong career path with excellent promotion opportunities for positive and enthusiastic people.

Lee will be a great addition to our field team and I know he will do well.

Grainger will continue to expand and will be keen to speak to anyone with ambition, drive and the aspiration to enhance their careers.”
