Those hoping for some news about Rockstar’s plans for the inevitable Grand Theft Auto V will find no solace in Take-Two’s recent financial statement, with chairman Strauss Zelnick stating in quite emphatic terms that the game is still a long way off.
“We’re not going to announce it,” he proclaimed in a call with investors. “We’re not going to announce when we’re going to announce it.
“And we’re not going to announce the strategy about announcing it or about when we’re going to announce it either, or about the announcement strategy surrounding the announcement of the strategy.”
It seems likely that Rockstar’s strategy for Grand Theft Auto in this generation of machines is to keep growing GTA IV through DLC such as the already released The Lost and Damned and the upcoming Ballad of Gay Tony – the trailer for which can be viewed here.
