GTA clings to No.1

Bolstered by the cinema release and related marketing activity, Activision’s Over The Hedge climbs four places to number three, while the end of the World Cup continues the slump in football games – with EA’s FIFA World Cup Germany 2006 diving to number four, and Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer dropping to number six.

Despite a celebrity endorsed television ad campaign, Nintendo’s Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training falls to number five. Eidos’ Hitman: Blood Money looks sturdy at number nine, but the publisher has less luck with Tomb Raider: Legend, which stumbles down to number seven.

Two new releases smash into the lower end of the charts this week, with handheld versions of Disney/Buena Vista’s Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man’s Chest coming in at number eight, and Sega’s flagship 360 offering Chromehounds stomping in at number ten.
