Hackers target Citibank

Citibank has admitted to suffering a data breach that allowed hackers to view the names, account numbers and contact details of around 200,000 of its customers.

We are contacting customers whose information was impacted. Citi has implemented enhanced procedures to prevent a recurrence of this type of event," said Citibank spokesman, Sean Kevelighan.
