Warner Bros has teamed up with Harrods to create a special Harry Potter store, coinciding nicely with the launch of LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7.
The temporary concession opened earlier this week and will remain until the end of January 2012. It will sell a wide variety of Harry Potter products, including LEGO and Tomy toys, as well as DVDs and LEGO Harry Potter games.
This will include Years 5-7, which arrives on November 18th, and the DVD and Blu-ray release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 on December 2nd.
The shop will even feature a display of props and costumes from the firms.
The venture is one of several cross-promotions Warner Bros Interactive is running with the rest of the WB empire in the hopes that Years 5-7 will top the success of the original LEGO Harry Potter.
“LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 is shaping up to be an extremely high quality gaming experience,” senior publicity manager Mark Ward told MCV. “2011 is truly the year of Potter. The franchise is stronger than ever, so all the pieces are in place to ensure LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 performs just as well.”
