PlayStation fans have drummed up a Twitter campaign to urge significant Sony employees against taking an aggressive stance on DRM and used games sales for PlayStation 4.
VG247 reports the campaign encourages gamers to post tweets using hashtags #PS4NoDRM and #PS4USEDGAMES – more specifically instructing them to direct statements toward the following PlayStation employees:
- Shuhei Yoshida (president of worldwide studios)
- John Koller (head of hardware marketing)
- Guy Longworth (senior vice president PlayStation Brand Marketing)
- Scott Rohde (PlayStation Software Product Development Head for Sony Worldwide Studios America)
The campaign has gained significant momentum outside of Twitter on other major websites, forums and social landings such as Reddit. Not only that, Sony is apparently closely monitoring the campaign, with several employees responding via Twitter.
The effort comes in wake of a series of rumours and eventual confirmation of Microsoft’s policies on the hot button issues for the Xbox One.
