Hat trick for FIFA 06

Sega’s extensive TV ad campaign for Spartan: Total Warrior has helped its sales leap up 59 per cent, meaning a rise in the charts five places to number three. Activision’s superhero caper Ultimate Spider-Man makes its debut at number four as the publisher’s fellow Marvel-licensed title, X-Men Legends 2, arrives just outside the top ten at number eleven.

EA also claims fifth and sixth positions, with Burnout Revenge slipping two places from last week’s number three and PC title Black and White 2 maintaining its hold on the number six spot.

Ubisoft claims the highest climber this week, with Brothers In Arms: Earned in Blood jumping up from 16 to number seven. Eidos’ Conflict: Global Storm claims its third week in the top ten at number eight, with Midway’s Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks also racking up its third week in the top ten, dropping two places to number nine.

Meanwhile, Nintendo’s latest craze Nintendogs: Labrador and Friends drops one place to number ten, with fellow SKUs Dachshund and Friends and Chihuahua and Friends claiming numbers 19 and 35 respectively.
