Home Beta coming in 2008

Home, Sony’s virtual world on PS3, is still on track for a 2008 release, according to

However, it’s likely that the platform will remain in Beta mode.

PlayStation Network’s Susan Panico noted that the "rollout will be similar to Gmail," describing what will launch this year as an "open, working Beta".

Wired’s journalist jokes in the story: ‘I certainly hope it’s not that similar to Gmail, or it’ll never get out of Beta.’
