Humble Store purchases surpass $1m in charitable contributions

Humble Store customers have generated more than $1m in charitable contributions with their purchases, Humble Bundle organizers have announced.

A post on Humble’s blog details the achievement. The organization launched the store back in November 2013, meaning the milestone was reached in around seven months time.

"One million dollars for charity is a big deal," said Humble Bundle COO and co-founder John Graham said. "In just six months, the Humble Store has grown from a mere humble experiment to something that gamers and game developers big and small want to be a part of."

Humble Bundle’s policy for the Humble Store sees that 10 per cent of all proceeds go to five different nonprofit groups and charities – Child’s Play, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, Charity: Water, the Worlds Land Trust and the American Red Cross.
