Figures for IGN in October see the entertainment site's network reaching over 1.1 million unique browsers, according to Nielsen Market Intelligence.
Narayan Pattison, publishing director of IGN Australia, told MCV: "I couldn’t be more proud of the Australian team’s focus on content anchored around local relevance with global impact, which have driven IGN.com’s consistent year-on-year local growth, with October 2011 reaching our largest Audience numbers yet."
The number was backed by 11+ million page views for the month, and comes shortly after the announcement of IGN and Shine Entertainment producing the new YouTube channel: START commencing early next year.
START is a part of YouTube's wider initiative to drive higher quality content across a range of new special interest channels. The deal will be absolutely massive for IGN, which aims to provide a blend of long-form and live entertainment with celebrity guest appearances and much more.
