The new deal is a real coup for UK company Ignition, which is currently producing PS3 title War Devil, set for release in 2008.
“These acquisitions complete UTV’s vertical diversification in all areas given that we are already strong in broadcasting and film,” said UTV chairman and CEO Ronnie Screwvala. “We are now looking forward to the creative and marketing challenges of exploiting content across new media.”
UTV has also claimed a 51 per cent stake in Indian mobile gaming firm Indiagames, having invested $15 million in the outfit.
