IN PICTURES: Halo 4 launch

Master Chief returned to London last night for the launch of the hotly anticipated Halo 4.

Microsoft splashed its biggest outdoor budget ever on the marketing campaign, as well as a huge stunt and launch party in the heart of London.

Celebrity guests such as Jonathan Ross, JLS, Dizzee Rascal and, er, Joey Essex – plus the gaming press – to Tower Bridge for a chance to play the game, check out a real Warthog and meet Master Chief. Microsoft then grabbed the attentions of the masses with a huge Halo 4 glyph, suspended above the river by a helicopter.

A hop, step and a Tube over at Westfield Stratford City, and GAME’s flagship store hosted the official midnight opening. Master Chief was once again in attendance, along with executive producer Kiki Wolfkill and The Gadget Show’s Jason Bradbury, who also stars in the game. The pair were on hand to sign copies of the game.
