Indie up for business award

New online retailer Hitari has been shortlisted in the Nectar Business Small Business Awards 2011.

The games specialist is in the running for Start-Up of the Year.

Founder Kamal Hitari set up the business so he could work from home and look after his son who was born with a rare life-limiting medical condition. The retailer now operates from a 1,700 sq ft office and warehouse facility.

Our mission is to create a recognised brand combined with a leading online retailer of tailored game packages,” Hitari told MCV.

We also aim to become a manufacturer of quality gaming accessories, and to be part of the production line as well as distribution.”
