Industry gears up for LGF

This Monday October 22nd sees the return of London Games Festival, boasting its biggest and most varied line-up ever seen.
Running right up until Friday November 2nd, London will host over 40 events which promise to celebrate gaming culture and broaden its reach in mainstream circles further.

After a promising start last year, organisers will be attempting to build on the achievements of the 2006 event, and a key part of that is ensuring it remains as wide-reaching as possible.

With this in mind, the various events feature everything from a gaming themed pub quiz, a poker tournament, exhibitions and shows.

One of the biggest column inch attractions will be The British Academy Video Games Awards ceremony taking place on Tuesday October 23rd in Battersea Park.

Organisers have set themselves an ambitious task – but with such strong industry backing and the wide spectrum of events on offer, hopes are high that the event will be a success.
