Injustice: Gods Among Us demo skips Indian PSN Store

We had reported a few days ago that the demo for Injustice: Gods Among Us would be part of today’s PSN Store update, but the demo seems to have been left off the Indian store.

Browsing through the store, the only Injustice content to be found was a PS3 theme.

Checking the PSN update post on the European PlayStation Blog reveals that the game has indeed been left off the Indian store, along with Croatia, Germany, Kuwait, New Zealand, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, UAE.

From the countries in the list, we can assume that Germany is missing the demo due to the gore in the game, while the countries in Middle East didn’t get the demo due to the mention of the word ‘Gods’ in the title, but we’re quite puzzled as to why the Indian store was skipped.

The game itself is scheduled to release in India and no game has ever been censored or banned from release in India on account of gore, so the demo’s absence is quite puzzling.

It’s worth mentioning that what content does or doesn’t appear on PSN stores in particular countries is decided by the respective game publishers, and not Sony.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is scheduled for release on 19th April for Xbox 360 and PS3.
