While all the announcements of this last week or so mean there’s likely little surprise left for E3, Sony at least could be readying a cheeky announcement for its press conference in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
NeoGAF spotted a tweet from the Barnsley branch of GAME claiming that The Last of Us: Remastered will be released on PS4 next week. The tweet was redacted and followed with another blaming an over eager staff member”.
However, Naughty Dog game director Bruce Straley separately tweeted to say that the game has a release date.
Could Sony surprise LA by flicking the switch and releasing the game digitally in the middle of its press conference?
It could all be nothing more than error and coincidence, of course, but such speculation is what the week before E3 is for, right?
