JAPAN: Final Fantasy takes control of the charts

One of the biggest franchises in Japanese gaming has assumed its normal position atop of the Japanese software charts with DS release Final Fantasy Tactics A2: The Sealed Grimoire debuting in first place according to date from Media Create, Kotaku reports.

The Square Enix title is one of seven new games to enter the Top Ten, including Konami’s World Soccer Winning Eleven DS Goal x Goal (Pro Evolution Soccer to you and I) and Sony’s Western smash hit God of War II.

Last week’s number one, Sega’s wonderfully bizarre Seaman 2 on PS2, slips to 22nd this week. In total, 16 DS titles make the Top 30.
