Microsoft’s machine sold 7,844 units for the week ending October 26th – nearly double the number of that managed by PS3, whose 3,931 is the lowest the console has seen since its release.
It’s not all bad news for Sony, though, with the recent release of its third generation PSP ruling the roost with sales of 60,467, rounding off a strong debut for the machine. Nintendo’s DS and Wii managed sales of 22,965 and 24,292 respectively.
And the PS2 continues to justify its ongoing place in the marketplace, outpacing its younger brother with sales of 6,962.
