Two of GAME's senior management have been promoted to new strategic roles, the firm has announced this morning.

Martyn Gibbs has become managing director of the group's UK & Eire operations, which covers both the GAME and Gamestation chains.

Gibbs, previously customer and brand director, will have responsibility for developing GAME's UK businesses and "delivering a customer proposition in each brand which will truly engage and excite our customers".

He will lead the GAME and Gamestation teams in the UK, reporting to COO Terry Scicluna.

Meanwhile Tricia Brennan has stepped up to a new international role, having been appointed group commercial strategy director.

Brennan will work with the group's supplier partners "at a global level to build a market leading commercial strategy across the Group, and support the delivery of an outstanding product proposition to customers in every territory".

With a wider Group remit and responsibility she will report to CEO Lisa Morgan.

Both promotions are with immediate effect.

“I am delighted to announce the promotion of two members of our UK leadership team into key new strategic positions," said Scicluna.

"As the innovation in our industry accelerates, and we prepare to launch yet more exciting new technology before Christmas, these new appointments will allow us to harness all of our strengths and direct them so that every one of our outlets offers customers the very best products, deals and experience.”
