Kickstarter has posted its year in review piece, announcing that the crowdfunding site helped successfully fund nearly 20,000 projects in 2013.
Posting on its site, the company revealed that last year $480m was pledged from 3m accounts. That’s over $1.3m a day, or $913 a minute. Of those 3m individuals, 800,000 donated to multiple efforts, 80,000 donated to more than 10 campaigns, and 975 individuals donated to more than 100 projects.
19,911 projects were successfully funded during the period, with contributions from backers across 214 countries and territories.
The announcement also gave special praise to successful gaming-related campaigns Oculus Rift and Ouya, among the year’s other standouts.
It was reported last month that Kickstarter’s gaming category had surpassed $200m pledges lifetime.
