Kinectimals teams up with Build-A-Bear Workshop

Microsoft has penned a partnership with innovative toy outlet Build-A-Bear Workshop to bring additional characters to its upcoming Kinect pet simulator.

Starting from October 14th, the retailer will stock four new characters to coincide with next month’s release of Kinectimals Now With Bears.

The four collectible bears will retail at 15, and feature the Microsoft Tag technology, which allows gamers to scan the toy with Kinect and unlock the same type of bear in the game.

Microsoft is also running a competition with Build-A-Bear. Ten lucky winners of this prize draw will take home an Xbox 360 4GB console with Kinect, a copy of Kinectimals Now With Bears and a 100 gift card for Build-A-Bear Workshop. Consumers can enter online or at any store from October 14th.

Kinectimals Now With Bears will be released for Xbox 360 on October 14th.
