Koch Media has hired Ronnie O’Sullivan to front an official Xbox 360, PS3 and PC snooker game.
World Snooker Championship Real 2011 – set for a Q2 release in the UK – is developed and published by Dark Energy Sports. Koch is handling distribution duties for the title.
O’Sullivan will be the cover star for WSC Real 2011 and help market the game ahead of release. The three-times World Champion will also appear in-game.
A Koch statement read: WSC Real 2011 is shaping up to be the most realistic WSC experience yet seen on home console and PC.
"Featuring real players, real venues and real tournaments, WSC Real 2011 also brings gamers closer to the green baize than ever before, with the latest iteration including full online multiplayer so that snooker fans can compete against one another around the globe."
The game allows players to rewind matches to view their best and worst shots, and features a slow motion mode for retaking shots. It includes all the official 2010/2011 snooker tournaments and players.
