The Konami team proved the most intellectually gifted on the night, just pipping Vivendi to first place. The Pro Evo publisher's team claimed the top prize of a racing day at Brands Hatch and a copy of Forza 2, courtesy of Microsoft.
Konami also beat off competition from the likes of GAME, Gamestation, Play.com, Amazon, Sainsbury’s, PC World, Comet, Woolworths, EUK and a media team made up of representatives of The Sun, The Independent, The Star and Future Publishing.
Sponsors Gem, Activision, Koch, Nintendo, Ubisoft, Vivendi, Konami and Capcom had teams at the event, too, alongside quiz co-hosts Microsoft.
After the success of the first event, more industry luminaries are set to be in attendance for the next event, due to take place once again at the AKA Bar on September 5th. Make a note in your diary.
