Last week to submit for SOYA

The Qantas Spirit of Youth Award's interactive gaming category closes off entries at the end of this week.

The competition has been open since November, and has a very broad scope, asking Australians between the age of 18 and 30 to submit as many examples of their work as they'd like to convey their talent at creating interactive content, spanning artworks, movie files or even full games on DVD.

The winners will receive 8 nights accomodation for a ticket and trip to South by Southwest in Texas in March, plus a one year mentorship program with Soap Creative founders Ashley Ringrose and Brad Eldridge (pictured).

Interested participants and budding developers should head to the submission page now and check out the criteria.

It's fantastic to see such a broad competition embrace interactive gaming as a worthy category, and our best wishes go to all local young competitors.
