Lazerbuilt shells out for Ninja Turtles licence

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will return to games retail this year in a new line of accessories from Lazerbuilt.

The heroes in a half-shell are currently staging a comeback with a new series on Nickelodeon. And UK peripherals firm Lazerbuilt has won the rights as part of the brand’s on-going licensing programme.

The company’s first Ninja Turtle products are expected to be made available this September.

It is a pleasure to have signed the Turtles licence, particularly as someone who grown up with the characters,” said key account manager Ben Klarich.

I’m excited to be working on innovative and interesting products for Turtles. The fanbase spans generations and there will be plenty of fans out there waiting for accessories which do the lean, mean, green heroes justice.”

Last month, Activision announced it has signed a three-game licensing deal to make Turtles titles, but has so far only announced the downloadable TMNT: Out of the Shadows, due this summer.
