Levine: Bioshock film not dead

Despite having not one, but two directors walk from the Bioshock film, Irrational Games still has its sights set on seeing the project through.

Speaking with Edge Magazine (via Videogamer), Irrational’s creative director Ken Levine explained while the company is busy with Bioshock Infinite’s development and upcoming release at the moment, it shouldn’t come across as an indication that the movie has been completely shelved.

"The thing with Gore [Verbinski] didn’t work out, but there’s no such thing as ‘it’s finished’ when it comes to making a movie out of something," Levine shared. "It’s always about the stars aligning. We’re still focusing on it, but it hasn’t consumed us so much. Right now, we’re choosing our battles and focusing on making BioShock Infinite."

Bioshock Infinite is currently slated for launch on October 16th for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
