Licensing.biz introduces the People Awards

Do you know a rising star of the licensing business?

Have you worked with a team at a particular licensor that has made creating product a dream? Or a retail buying team that has just ‘got’ what you’re trying to do with your product?

Well, MCV’s sister title Licensing.biz is giving you the chance to honour these individuals and teams in its new People Awards.

The new event will recognise and reward the individuals from across the licensing business, and will take place at Sway Bar, London on Thursday April 30th, with 10 prestigious accolades up for grabs.

The categories are:-

  • Retail Buying Team of the Year

  • Rising Star – Licensor
  • Unsung Hero
  • Licensing Agent of the Year
  • Brand Extension & Beyond
  • Licensee Team of the Year
  • Licensor Team of the Year
  • Licensing Deal of the Year
  • Outstanding Contribution to Licensing

Details of how to enter, nominate and the judging process can be found here.

Since I joined NewBay Media a year ago, I’ve been incredibly impressed with the innovation and drive within the licensing business,” said NewBay Media Europe MD Mark Burton. We all know the brands, the characters and the properties – and these are honoured via fantastic awards ceremonies elsewhere.

We think that the individuals who have nurtured and established those brands over the past year should be recognised too – which is why we’ve launched the Licensing.biz People Awards. These accolades will shine the spotlight on the people and teams from across the market – from agents to retailers, R&D departments to design agencies.

We look forward to seeing you all on the evening of Thursday April 30th to celebrate with us.”
