After a brief hiccup yesterday that saw the service pulled after launching a little prematurely, Sony has now officially released its free Life With PlayStation service for PS3 owners.
The software, which can now be downloaded via the Folding@Home icon in the PS3’s network folder, allows users to access up to the minute news and information from over 60 cities around the globe.
Taking the form of an interactive 3D globe, it also provides real-time weather tracking, along with a host of services from providers such as Google News, the Earth Television Network and The Weather Channel.
When in use, it also allows for the Folding@Home application to run in the background.
