Little Space Heroes gets nominated for a Pixel Award

Bubble Gum Interactive has sent through word that Little Space Heroes is the only videogame to be nominated for a Pixel Award this year.

Little Space Heroes, now in beta-stage, is a browser-based virtual world for kids which has secured local funding to the tune of almot AUD$1.5 million in the last couple of years.

Players can chat, customise their avatars and jet off into space on a series of missions and mini-games which will allow them to learn, socialise and play together.

The Pixel Awards are an annual web-awards series which usually do not have videogames included in their list of nominees. Little Space Heroes, however, has been nominated in the category of animation.

The Pixel Awards have been going since 2006.
