London Games Conference returns

The London Games Conference will return on November 10th at a new venue – and with a unique audience participation element.

Taking place at the Royal Society of Medicine, the event already has three big-name speakers on board.

GameStop’s EVP of international, Mike Mauler, will present a keynote on the global games retailer’s digital future.

Meanwhile, games development icons Ian Livingstone (Eidos life president) and Peter Molyneux (Microsoft Game Studios creative director) will jointly deliver a talk looking at the big changes facing video games in the years to come.

That session will in fact allow attendees to vote on which of Molyneux and Livingstone’s predictions are the most likely – as part of an audience interaction element running throughout the conference.

In-seat voting panels will allow the audience to provide feedback or be active participants in the event – one session will compare attendees’ knowledge to accurate games market data to see how well they really know the sector.

The event starts at 5pm on Thursday, November 10th and runs into the evening, followed by
dinner and networking. More sessions and speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.

London Games Conference is now in its third year, and the event is organised by MCV and Develop publisher Intent Media.

We’re very proud to be announcing such high profile speakers as Mike, Ian and Peter so early,” said MCV publisher Stuart Dinsey.

In just two years the London Games Conference has grown into an event with international stature, attracting speakers and delegates from around the world.

While other conferences demand the audience be passive spectators, our new venue and interactive elements make sure everyone at the event, whether a speaker or delegate, is heard and taking part.”
