The High Street stalwart has already pushed into stocking technology products on its website and in a limited number of stores, offering PS3 and Xbox 360 games and consoles alongside high definition TVs.
But now the runaway success of Nintendo products has forced Marks & Spencer to re-assess its strategy.
“We currently sell a range of video games and consoles as part of our existing technology offer in 19 stores and on the web. We’ve recently enhanced this offer by including Nintendo,” said a spokesperson.
“Following our successful move into technology, the gaming market was an obvious addition to our range, and one that we see great potential in.”
M&S told MCV it was planning to expand on its games range in January.
