Industry legend Archer Maclean has resigned form his role as creative director at Ignition Entertainment with immediate effect.
Ignition has retained all intellectual property rights for all past and future titles from its development division Awesome Studios, including upcoming PSP release Mercury, and projects that are currently underway will continue unaffected. A new management team is currently being formed to accommodate Maclean’s departure.
“Whilst Archer was the spokesperson for Awesome Studios, there’s a 28 strong team currently in place and Ignition will continue to offer the development outfit creative and commercial support for upcoming titles,” commented Ignition’s managing director Vijay Chadha. “We’re confident that the Awesome Studios team will continue to produce games that will excite, challenge and delight next generation videogames players.”
