All three firms are keeping their plans for the Play.com Live show close to their chest, but gamers can expect large-scale demos of their biggest new titles, as well as crowd interaction, wireless gaming and live competitions.
Play.com’s head of games Gian Luzio (pictured) told MCV: “We’re delighted to have three of the biggest companies in games commit to help make Play.com Live the greatest games show the UK has ever seen.
“With such an exciting line-up of games coming from each publisher, their presence should really help to raise the excitement levels of the 40,000-plus ticket holders to fever pitch.
“We’ve been sworn to secrecy by Microsoft, THQ and Activision as to what their exact plans are, but from what we’ve been told, there’s no way that the crowd is going to go away disappointed.”
Luzio added that Play.com had been contacted by “every major publisher and games company you could think of” to arrange their presence at the show – and that more announcements would be ready in the next few weeks.
Play.com Live will take place over the weekend of March 15-16th at Wembley Stadium. The games-focused show is set to attract over 40,000 consumers, who will bear witness to the latest games and interactive entertainment technology – as well as a host of top-notch celebs.
