Mana Bar launches Melbourne venue, confirms plans to expand

Australian videogame cocktail bar ‘The Mana Bar’ opened its second venue on Saturday in Fitzroy, Melbourne.

Thousands of attendees queued for hours to get inside the 50 person capacity venue, with the very first arriving the evening before.

Guy Blomberg, "We’re looking forward to working with associations here in Melbourne to promote the growing number of independent developers and their products through the Mana Bar’s existing networks.”

The first Mana Bar opened in Brisbane to similar crowds in March 2010. The company had since confirmed plans to expand to Melbourne, Sydney and internationally.

Blomberg continued: "The successful opening of our Melbourne venue is another proof of concept, and based on the overwhelming support and continued popularity of our original Brisbane venue we will continue to expand the Mana Bar soon.”
