It’s got a great chance of being one of the biggest releases on 2010, so perhaps it’s no surprise that two High Street retailers are focusing very heavily on Nintendo’s Super Mario Galaxy 2 ahead of its UK release on Friday.
HMV is offering the game for just £4.99 for those willing to trade in Super Mario Bros Wii or Mario Kart Wii. The deal is valid between Friday and Sunday this week.
In addition, GAME is offering a bundle including a pre-owned Wii console and copy of the game for just £129.99.
On top of this, the retailer is offering an additional 25 per cent on top of the normal trade-in price on a select number of Wii titles. This means that, for instance, anyone trading in Zelda Twilight Princess and Mario Kart Wii can grab Galaxy 2 for £4.99.
GAME's deal is valid from tomorrow (June 11th) until next Wednesday (June 16th).
The game is widely available for around £30 online. It’s yet to be seen whether any supermarkets will target the release for aggressive discounting.
