Upcoming 3DS title Mario Kart 7 is to be the surprise recipient of a third party steering wheel accessory from Hori.
Nintendo’s own steering wheel peripheral of course took centre stage in its last Mario Kart game on Wii, but it’s unusual for such a device to be released for a handheld title.
Andriasang reports that the wheel includes shoulder buttons and is officially licensed by Nintendo. It’s scheduled for release on Amazon.co.jp on December 1st, alongside the game itself, for ¥1,280 (£10.50).
There’s no word yet on whether or not a launch is planned in other territories.
