Nintendo has announced three new titles for the 3DS – Mario & Luigi RPG, Donkey Kong Country 3D and Mario Golf.
Revealed by Satoru Iwata himself – complete with a flattering green Luigi cap – Mario & Luigi RPG takes place in Luigi’s dreams. Mario Golf, meanwhile, is being developed by Camelot. Little was said about Donkey Kong Country 3D aside from it having a planned summer release.
Also on the way is some Luigi-themed DLC for New Super Mario Bros U called New Super Luigi U, which is a re-work of existing levels altered for play with the green plumber himself.
There were lots of European release dates announced, too.
Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon will arrive both at retail and for download on March 28th while Japanese hit (2.7m sales and counting) Animal Crossing: New Leaf has been given a June 14th release date.
Fire Emblem: Awakening, meanwhile, will hit Europe on April 19th. Nintendo’s European boss Satoru Shibata said that the company “sincerely apologises” for the fact that European gamers have had to wait a year since the game was released in Japan.
Hardware bundles were also revealed – a Limited Edition Fire Emblem 3DS XL bundle as well as both Wii U and 3DS Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate packs.
