A plethora of new Pac-Man games are set for release this year, Namco Bandai has announced.
The biggest of which is Pac-Man and Galaga: Dimensions for 3DS. The tilt-based title is due this year to celebrate Galaga’s 30th anniversary.
Other new titles are aimed at the digital space following the recent success of Pac-Man Championship Edition DX for XBLA and PSN.
These include Pac-Man CE for PSP, Pac-Man Party for mobile platforms and Mrs. Pac-Man, who will be making her iPad debut on Valentine’s Day.
All the titles were unveiled and playable at Namco Bandai’s Ignite event in San Francisco this week.
The company recently conducted a survey that showed Pac-Man is still one of gaming’s most iconic characters even amongst younger gamers.
The Pac-Man franchise turned 30 last year and was celebrated with an innovative Google campaign that let visitors play a version of Pac-Man on the search engine’s home page.
