Max Payne mobile edition hits iOS

A mobile edition of Remedy’s shooter Max Payne has appeared on the App Store for iPhone and iPad.

The offering (priced at $2.99) includes Retina resolutions support, custom controls, several aiming modes, and more regarding items tailored for touch screen devices.

The game requires an iPhone 3GS to play, and those with an iPhone 4 or newer, will gain access to Rockstar Social Club integration with stat-tracking, cheats, and other features.

The title is in the works for Android as well and should arrive sometime later this month.
