PlayStation Vita owners will at last get a chance to buy a new boxed release for their console this Friday.
Warner Bros has confirmed that the PlayStation Vita version of Mortal Kombat will be released for the handheld on May 4th. It is released in the US today.
The same version of the game was released on consoles last year, although the Vita SKU contains additional material not found in previous releases.
“Mortal Kombat for PlayStation Vita allows us to bring the best possible fighting experience to our loyal fans – anytime, anywhere,” NetherRealm Studios’ creative director Ed Boon stated.
“The game runs at a seamless 60 frames per second, and provides unique gameplay modes and features that take advantage of PlayStation Vita’s exciting new hardware capabilities. Mortal Kombat for PlayStation Vita is the ultimate portable fighting game and provides hours of fun for mobile gamers.”
