Future names new digital entertainment boss

The international media group has promoted Keith Walker to head of digital for the entertainment arm of the company. Walker will also hold publishing responsibilities for games sites CVG and GamesRadar. He was previously head of audience development for the entertainment group after joining in April this year. Walker has worked across Future’s entire entertainment portfolio.

Eagle swoops into new Xbox role
Harvey Eagle has been named as the new marketing director for Xbox UK.

The long-serving Microsoft employee was previously Interactive Entertainment Business Category Director across the EMEA region.He has been a key member of the EMEA Xbox team for the last 12 years.

Jonathan Grimes, head of Microsoft’s retail sales and marketing division in the UK, said: Harvey brings with him a wealth of experience and I’m very excited to have him join the Retail Sales and Marketing team to lead the IEB business, in what is going to be a very exciting time.”

Antix Labs recruits Prichard
The firm behind cross-platform streaming software Antix Game Player has appointed Adam Prichard as its business development director.

Prichard was previously the owner and MD of Licensed4U and was also EMEA?sales VP at Brash Entertainment.

Antix founder Francis Charig said: Adam has the objective of accelerating our developer programme and has immediately had a positive effect by bringing us top tier publishers.” Prichard added: I am very excited to be working with such a talented group on this leading-edge service. I truly believe this is the future of gaming.”

Journalist joins Nintendo PR team
Ashley Day has joined the platform holder as its new junior PR manager.

We are thrilled to have Ashley join the PR team,” said Nintendo’s head of communications Jo Bartlett.His time as a journalist and his expertise will be a great asset and we are delighted that he’s chosen to start his PR career at Nintendo.”

Day worked at Imagine Publishing’s multi-format magazine GamesTM for over six years, the last three of which were as deputy editor.

Koch Media promotes Foley, hires Ives
The distributor has bolstered its UK arm with a new hire and a promotion. Richard Ives joins the company as vendor manager. Ives previously worked at Sony, THQ and Entertainment UK. Meanwhile, Juliana Foley has been promoted to the role of purchasing and operations director for Northern Europe.
