PERSONNEL NEWS

New product specialists join Entatech
The IT distributor Entatech has recruited three new product specialists to work under channel manager Luke Steel.

The newcomers will work on giving the company’s resellers sound advice on routers and wireless and network switches.

James Kenny joined in January as Netgear product specialist and is responsible for updating customers on Netgear’s latest range of products and reviewing where they sit in the market.

Product specialist for Billion and TP-Link Ian Garden will give advice on Entatech-supplied routers and switches whilst Dan Jones has been appointed Digium and Trendnet product specialist.

The retail channel team has also appointed a new recruit in Fujitsu product specialist Craig Pearce.

Our networking channel is continuously evolving and as we bring on board new vendors and products, it’s vital that we are able to provide our customers with up-to-date advice and knowledge on the vast range of products available to facilitate all of their needs,” said Entatech VP Jon Atherton.

The inclusion of our new product specialists – and other staff who have come on board over recent months – will only strengthen the service we’re able to provide to our resellers, thus strengthening our business relationships and operations as a whole.”

V&A Museum appoints first games designer in residence

Swallowtail chair and BAFTA Ones to Watch winner Sophia George has been appointed as the Victoria and Albert museum’s first ever game designer in residence.

George’s residency will begin from October 2013 for six months during which she will research the history of British design shown in the Britain 1500-to-1900 galleries and hold a number of public activities to enlighten people on the game design process.

As part of the residency, the Swallowtail developer also plans to run a project with a group of students from a girl’s school to help promote game design and after six months she will head to Abertay University for the game production phase.
