BROWN TO HEAD UP SONY RETAIL ACCOUNTS
Huw Brown has joined the PlayStation firm as its new national account manager. While at Sony, Brown will be looking after Sainsbury’s, Asda and Shop Direct.
“I look forward to immersing myself in a new and exciting industry and adding value through my experience of working with big brands and big customers,” said Brown.
Prior to joining Sony, Brown worked at Britvic Soft Drinks for six and a half years, begging as a territory manager in 2006.

JAGEX'S GETTINI TAKES TECH ROLE
Remo Gettini has been promoted to chief technology officer at the games publisher. He will be taking over the CTO role from chief executive Mark Gerhard, who has been serving as both CEO and CTO.
Gettini will be responsible for driving forward Jagex’s technologies for the studio’s future titles and helping develop the firm’s unannounced gaming platform.
“Remo has a proven record in creating innovative gaming platforms build upon next generation technologies as well as scaling highly talented engineering teams time and time again,” said Gerhard.
“Everyone at Jagex is dedicated to putting independent game developers back on the map again by helping to ensure more online success stories like Jagex in the near future.”
Gettini added: “When I joined Jagex, I said that the entire games industry was at a turning point, on the precipice of substantial change and extremely promising growth for those that make the smart moves to the right platforms.”
Prior to Jagex, Gettini served as CTO of Time Out, where he was responsible for the company’s global infrastructure, platform development and technology roadmap. He also worked at EA as head of EMEA and was a founding member of EA Mobile.
JOYSTIQ NAMES UK EDITOR
The online news blog has taken Sinan Kubba on as its new UK Editor. Kubba has been a freelance journalists for several years, with work published by Official Nintendo Magazine, VideoGamer.com, The Escapist, GamePro and G4TV. He will be responsible for increasing Joystiq’s UK coverage.
TURN10 HIRES NEW COMMUNITY MANAGER
The US studio has hired Ian Webster as its EMEA community manager. He will be based at Microsoft’s Reading office. Webster will work on the Forza brand, starting with Forza Horizon. He previously worked as a community manager at Codemasters, where he worked on racers such as F1 and DiRT.
