UK PRs depart in THQ restructure
Sam Forrect and Rebecca Attard have departed the UK PR team at THQ.
Forrest was head of PR for the UK and Europe, a role he was promoted to in January 2009. He first joined THQ in 2003 as senior PR manager for UK and Export. He previously held PR positions at SCi Games, Activision and CD Vision.
Attard joined as UK and European marketing assistant in June 2009 after a year’s internship in 2007. She was later promoted to associate PR manager.
The two depatures come as part of THQ’s restructure, announced last month during the publisher’s latest financial results. The goal is to streamline its international operations to become a smaller firm with sustained profitability.

Sega promotes Yakuza creator
Toshihiro Nagoshi has been promoted to chief creative officer at Sega.
He will take up his new role on March 31st, and is expected to continue contributing to Sega’s games development. Nagoshi has worked at Sega for more than two decades.
During his time, he also created the Super Monkey Ball series and has worked on various Sonic titles, as well as last month’s shooter Binary Domain.
His promotion comes as part of an executive reshuffle, in which COO Okitane Usui announced his retirement. Former manager director Naoya Tsurumi will take his place.
Fluid Design hires PR and marketing boss
Lucinda Digweed has been hired as head of PR and marketing for the creative agency.
She has worked in entertainment PR and marketing for the past 15 years, with stints at Channel 5 and Capcom, and has worked with high-profile kids licences such as Bratz, Garfield and Build-A-Bear Workshop.
“I’ve enjoyed working with Fluid for many years as a client,” said Digweed. “Now I couldn’t be more thrilled to be joining such an incredibly talented team.”
Uber's Walton joins Blaze Europe
Chris Walton has joined the peripherals firm as sales and marketing manager. He will help bring products such as Blaze’s GameGadget handheld to market.
His most recent role was account manager for the entertainment team at creative agency Uber, before which he was a marketing executive at Zushi Games. He has also worked at SCi and Eidos.
“I’m hugely excited about the opportunity here at Blaze. With GameGadget just around the corner and so many great ideas to follow, now is a great time to join the company,” said Walton.
