Xbox UK explands with Williams hire
Anna Mostyn Williams has joined the Xbox UK team as product marketing manager. She will take responsibility for a number of Xbox franchises, including Dead Rising, Kinect Sports, Fable and Zoo Tycoon.

Williams joins the Xbox UK team having completed her MBA studies at the INSEAD business school in France and Singapore. She has also completed an MBA internship on buisiness strategy development at French game developer Quantic Dream.

I’m thrilled to join Microsoft and the Xbox team at such a pivotal time. Gaming is a passion of mine so this is a fantastic opportunity to work with Xbox in what is the biggest ever year for the gaming industry,” said Williams.

Electronic Sports League appoints UK community manager

The Electronic Sports League has hired Peter Mather as its new UK community manager. Within the role, Mather will head up the ESL’s entire UK division and will be responsible for expanding the league and eSports scene throughout the country.

The former lead editor for tek-9.org boasts a wealth of experience within eSports having worked closely with event organisers during his promotion of the streamGASM brand.

Peter stood out of the crowd with his excellent attitude towards eSports and his dedication to existing eSports communities. We could not have found a better person for the role,” said Chris Elt, ESL UK sales director.

Mather commented: I am thrilled to have been chosen to mold and develop the eSports scene within the UK. Koch hires former THQ finance manager

Joanne Williams has been appointed financial planning and analysis manager at the company. Williams joins from former publisher THQ, where she held the position of finance manager for over nine years and boasts experience managing several of the firm’s European territory offices.

She will report to Craig McNicol, MD Northern Europe, Koch Media within the new role.

As Koch Media grows and diversifies new challenges appear which need specialised focus. I am thrilled that Jo will be joining us to manage the deep analysis that is required for all our divisions,” said McNicol.

After the closure of THQ I wanted to continue my career within the games industry, Koch Media has presented the perfect opportunity for that to happen,” Williams added.
