This week, it's announced that Mass Effect 3 Wii U is being developed in Melbourne, and MCV looks at Australia's fastest growing agency.
- Surprise Attack, the agency which launched less than a year ago, has added AAA and Free-to-Play divisions, with the former being headed up by new appointee Travis Plane (pitcured), formerly VP of Global Brand Management for THQ.
- News has come through that the upcoming Wii U version of Mass Effect 3 will be developed by little-known Melbourne-based developer Straight Right.
- From Gamescom, MCV interviews Patrick Soderlund, head of the EA Games label, about new IP and the risk of AAA development, plus the modding community and emerging business models.
- Finally, Nic Healey, former editor of Australian T3 Magazine and Official Xbox Magazine, has jumped from Haymarket Media to take on a new role as the Senior Editor for Home Entertainment at CBS Media.
