Konami has teamed up with US firm Creative Minx Marketing to handle licensing and retail programs for next month’s Metal Gear Rising.
The marketing agency will be working directly with retailers across Europe and North America to build hype around the game’s release and explore opportunities for merchandise.
“We are working with buyers to create additional product categories that haven’t been licensed out by Konami for the MGR franchise, or exclusive items they would like to promote across their specific stores,” said Creative Minx president Andi Riordan.
“We are also working with buyers, marketing and social community teams to create retail programs for Metal Gear Rising in order to create displays, in-store signings, online promotions, and concentrated and focused facings for the various retailers.
“This will create a more impactful launch for the licensed products and give more awareness for the game launch.”
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be released on Xbox 360 and PS3 on February 22nd.
